The club will be hosting a “Learn About Lax Night” at Pinnacle this Friday Jan. 20th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. This open to all incoming Middle School, Youth, and Bantam players. This will be an opportunity for new and returning players to catch and throw, learn more about the sport and the upcoming season, as well as buy some gear. If any returning players have friends who are interested in learning about lacrosse, this is a great opportunity. No experience is necessary. The club will provide pizza and drinks. Bring a stick and gloves if you have them. Bring a friend!!

Missing Jerseys! – URGENT!

Saturday Game Confirmation

Our final youth game of the season is this Saturday, 5/28 at 11AM. The game will be played at Revere High School stadium on the turf. Please plan to be at the field, dressed and ready to warm up by 10:30AM.

ALSO!!
You are expected to bring both jerseys to the game to turn in. For bantam players that still have jerseys that haven’t been turned in, please try to be at the high school stadium to drop them off sometime during the game. I will also be passing out shorts to players who have missed the practices where I had passed them out previously.

Wadsworth Game Confirmation

I have confirmed the time and location for tonight’s Youth game. We will be playing Wadsworth at their home field, Valley View Park. It is located at 618 West Street in Wadsworth. The game begins at 6:00PM so PLEASE plan to be at the field dressed and ready to begin by 5:30PM.

As previously mentioned, to avoid the jersey issue we experienced at our last game with Wadsworth, you are required to bring both your practice and game jerseys.

Tuesday Confirmation – 5/24

With tomorrow being our final Bantam game, you have two choices in regard to returning your practice jersey:
1.) You can return the jerseys after the game is over, if you will not be attending our final “fun day” practice on Thursday.
OR
2.) You can return them after the practice on Thursday.
ALSO: If you haven’t received your re-ordered shorts at this point, I will be bringing the box to the Thursday practice for passing out.

We WILL be holding practice tomorrow for the Youth team. We need ALL 5th and 6th grade players to be at this practice so that we can get ready for our rematches against Wadsworth and Mentor. Youth players are expected to bring BOTH jerseys to the game on Saturday for returning. If you will not be attending any more activities this season, it is your responsibility to return the jerseys (game and practice) to one of the remaining scheduled events.

Final Week of Lacrosse! Update!

We were able to reschedule our Bantam game against North Canton for this week. That game will be the final game of the season for the Bantam team. The game is scheduled for Tuesday, the 24th at 6:30 PM. The game will be played at Northwood Elementary in North Canton. The weather for the next few days doesn’t look very promising, so be sure to check the website for updates on the game. If the game will be played as scheduled, please plan to be at the field by 6PM dressed and ready to warm up. The bantam team’s season is finished after the game on Tuesday, so if we do have a youth practice on Thursday, attendance is optional (…this will be a “fun day” practice…).

For our youth team, we have games scheduled on Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesday’s game will be played against Wadsworth at 6PM, I will be providing confirmation and directions prior to the game. Saturday’s game will be played against Mentor at Bath Community Center at 11AM. These are our last two games for the youth team, so please plan to attend and put in a solid performance. We played a great game on Saturday and it would be nice to end the season on a high note! Once I am able to confirm coach availability, I will advise about Tuesday and Thursday practice for the Youth team.

LaxFest Confirmation

I know that some communications have been going around in regard to LaxFest tomorrow, but I want to provide one final confirmation. The bantam team (3rd and 4th graders) game will begin at Bath Community Center at 9AM. Please have your player at the field by 8:30AM dressed and ready to begin warm ups.

The youth game (5th and 6th graders) will begin at 10AM. All Youth players should be at the field ready to warm up by 9:30AM. Please have your player bring BOTH game and practice jerseys to the field.

As I’m sure you are aware, the practices have been very muddy this week, so please wash the jerseys before the games tomorrow. Also, for the past few games, we have been forced to shorten our warm ups because people are not arriving on time. Please be courteous of the time that we put into this program by showing up on time. I know that each team would appreciate your support, so if you can come early or stay longer to support the other teams, please do!

Saturday Lax Update – 5/14/11

North Canton has asked to reschedule the bantam game for tomorrow. I will provide the new date and time this weekend. Instead of the game, we will have a practice for all of our bantam players at our regular time and location. If you will not be able to attend, please let me know. Depending on attendance, we may cut the practice to 1.5 hours, so please confirm with your coaches about pickup time before leaving the practice field tomorrow.

The youth game is still scheduled for tomorrow at Bath Community Center against Wadsworth. The game is set to begin at 10AM, so please plan to have your players at the field, dressed and ready for warm up by 9:30AM. If you will not be able to make the game, please let me know ASAP so we can adjust the roster accordingly.

Practice Update – 5/12

Based on the current weather situation we may not be able to hold practice… At this point, the hourly forecast is predicting only clouds by 6PM, so we will try to have the practice, but please don’t just drop off and leave until we’re certain of the weather situation.

The coaches will advise either through the website shortly or at the field before our scheduled time.
